Roberta Beary has been writing haiku since 1990 when she moved to Japan for five years. A longtime member of Towpath, haiku poets of the Chesapeake watershed. Roberta writes haiku to focus her mind, calm her spirit and understand her past. She believes, along with the writer from Oxford, Mississippi, that the past is never dead, it's not even past.
