Alexis Rotella is a practicing acupuncturist in Arnold, Maryland. She served as president of the Haiku Society of America in 1984 and edited its journal, Frogpond. Alexis has started a number of journals including the popular Prune Juice (Senryu Journal). Currently she is haiga editor for Multiverses Journal. Her latest books, published by Modern English Tanka Press, include Black Jack Judy and the Crisco Kids (Growing up Italian in the Bronx) and Elvis in Black Leather.
