Fay Aoyagi was born in Tokyo and immigrated to the United States in 1982.
She has been writing haiku in English since 1995. She decided to expand her haiku world
and joined Ten’I (Providence), a Japanese haiku group led by Dr. Akito Arima in 2000.
She is a member of Haiku Society of America, Haiku Poets
of Northern California, Haijin Kyokai (Haiku Poets Association in Japan) and
a dojin of Ten’I. Also, she joined Aki (Autumn), a Japanese haiku group started by Yatsuka Ishihara (deceased)
and currently led by Masami Sanuka) in 2008. She published two haiku collections in
English; “Chrisanthemum Love” (out-of-stock) and “In Borrowed Shoes” (both
